Memorial Day Weekend
This was an unusual weekend. Normally they go by very fast, but this one actually felt like it stuck around a little longer, so that's good. I got a lot done around the house. The grass was cut, garden is on it's way to being planted (More on that on another post) and I weeded around the house. Bored yet?
Saturday night was fun. We went over Heather & Mark's for a little grill out get together type thing. The kids had fun, and I decided to stay after they left. There was a sleepover at my house that I wanted to stay away from that, so that was a good excuse to hang out and have a few drinks. Another thing that made this weekend unusual is that I drank a whole 6-pack and didn't even wake up with a headache. That's cool, right? I was even home before midnight, so no one rolled their eyes at me!
Sunday was a cookout at wife's uncle's house. He's got some land behind his house that is wooded and belongs to a nursery, so it was a great spot for riding around on his ATV. But, after learning to ride his motorcycle, I thought the ATV was boring, and I was just riding up and down the street and in circles on his front lawn. It was the first time I ever even attempted riding a bike. It was very awkward at first. I think I was gripping the clutch way too much, but after a while I got the hang of it. The hardest part for me was making U-turns. I know this was a small bike (great for learning though), but I was worried I'd fall over. I probably rode around on the thing for an hour and half at least. It was awesome, and now I'm going to sign up for a class at the community college, that if I pass, I get my endorsement on my license. Hopefully I can get in during the fall session, but I can wait till spring if I don't get in. It's not like I can afford a bike right now anyway.

Yesterday was going to my parent's house and eating hotdogs. I had a water fight with the wife and the boys. I won. It was warm out, so it felt good. Later that night wife told me I was actually fun today. Like I'm not normally?! Come on!
