Busy = $

I don't think I've personally seen work this busy before. Yea, I've been on specific projects that were under the gun, but not so many at once. The good thing, though, is that I'm not lead technician on any of them, boo ya! A couple of the projects have even been fighting over me because right now before the Great Utah Trip, I have nothing of my own to work on. It feels good to be wanted. Plus, it's funny to watch management try to fix the situation.

Today, I had a pretty awkward exchange after I came back from a very late lunch. I was watching the boy and his classmates put on a circus at his pre-school. He was the strong-man. Frickin hilarious. Anyway, I was walking in, and I saw a guy walking towards me. Now, this guy recently gave his 2-weeks notice. He got a job at a power plant somewhere. It's an upgrade from where he's at now. I've never actually talked to him before, other than a "hello" or what-not. So, as I walk past him, and I say, "Congratulations". We usually say this to anyone leaving our work, although I have to admit it seems like it's getting better to work there. I obviously caught him way off guard. He wasn't even looking at me when I walked past, and I said that when we were pretty close. His reaction was a muted and surprised, "thank you". And as I was walking away I turned and I can see he had stopped, and turned back towards me, maybe to strike up a small conversation or maybe he wanted to say more than his barely understandable response. It was way to late. I never broke stride, and he was 10 to 15 feet behind me by the time I noticed what had happened. Besides, by the time I turned around he was turning back to start walking again. I'm wondering if next time I see him if I should ask more about his new job, or what. Oh, well. I'll probably never see him again in my life.

That's pretty much it at work. I'll be working until about 9 tomorrow night, and maybe a little on the weekend. Oh, Vern got the engineering job! And probably one of my favorite people to work with, Phil, got the supervisor job. Congrats to them both!

Want to see me with long hair?

This has got to be Homecoming during my Junior year. Oh, my hair!!!! Sono così caldo.
